Dr. Reid was born and raised in Oregon, graduated from the University of Oregon and received his medical degree from the University of Oregon Medical School (now OHSU).  Post doctorate training in internal medicine and cardiology was completed at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

He joined Cascade Heart in 1980 practicing general cardiology, both invasive and non-invasive, and is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology.  Dr. Reid is married with two children.  His other interests are gardening, running, skiing, hiking, music, and traveling.
