Dr. Michael Ontkean joined Cascade Heart in 1992 from Oregon Health Sciences University. There he completed his internal medicine and cardiology training. He is an interventional cardiologist providing a full spectrum of devices and procedures to help patients with coronary artery disease.  Additionally, he works with our exclusive physiologist in developing individual exercise prescription programs. 

He is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and sub-specialization of Interventional Cardiology.  Dr. Ontkean is a fellow of the A.C.C. and of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.

Dr. Ontkean lives in Camas with his wife and son and is an avid cyclist having completed several events and commutes by bike .  Additionally, he enjoys surfing, and skiing in addition to listening to music, gardening, learning French and traveling.
