Frequently Asked Questions

What if I want to schedule an appointment, but I have no referral? If you are new to the area and need to continue your cardiac care, please call us at (360) 256-2640 to initiate the process. Otherwise, call your primary care provider to obtain a referral.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment? As a common courtesy to our patients, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible, no later than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment or test.

What if I have a question about my cardiac medication? If you have a general question, try calling your pharmacist first. If it involves non-cardiac medication, prescribed by another physician, try to contact him or her. If it involves a problem with your cardiac medication, prescribed by one of our physicians, contact our nurses during normal business hours. If refills are needed, please give us at least 72 hours before your medication runs out.

What are your normal business hours? Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 5:00, excluding holidays.

Where are you located? (See or Directions Section)

What if I’m experiencing a medical problem? If it is an emergency, call 911.  Do not attempt to come to our office. We are not a walk-in clinic. If you do not have an emergency, call 360-256-2640, and a nurse or physician with discuss your problem with you.

What is the best way to contact you? For general questions and answering service for on-call physician, call: (360) 256-2640. For billing questions, call: (360) 828-3203

You can e-mail us with comments or interest in employment opportunities. Do not expect a response earlier than one week. We will not address any personal medical problems or send any medical information via e-mail.

What should I bring with me to my appointment? Your insurance card, containers of all current medications, and any needed co-pay. If this is your first visit, please see comments under New Patients.

What if I am interested in seeing a cardiologist but have no referral? We do take most self-referred patients. We accept both Medicare and Medicaid. Unfortunately, there are some health plans that simply will not pay us for our services. Please call (360) 256-2640 to initiate the process.

Do I need a primary care provider? Yes. Our cardiologists do not address general medical or other specialty issues. Even if you have no other medical problems outside of your heart, you need an internist or family practice physician for health screening and as non-cardiac problems arise.

Can I get a flu shot at your office? No. We provide no vaccinations.

What if I have a complaint or comment about a recent visit? We would love to get feedback about your encounter with our office staff, positive or negative. Please go to Contact Us Section.

Can I get medication samples? Pharmaceutical samples are not routinely given out here and should not be considered as an ongoing substitution for prescription medication. If you are having trouble paying for your medication, we can discuss hardship applications, which are sent directly to the individual pharmaceutical corporations.
